If you haven’t seen it by now, the Omni Group, a terrific applications software developer, has announced their intent to release iPad-specific versions of their entire suite of applications.  They made the announcement as part of a long-ish blog post.  It turns out that their collective thinking about the future of the iPad dovetails pretty neatly with my own.  Read here:

Is this as “big” as Microsoft announcing an iPad version of Office?  Of course not.  But it’s the beginning of an inexorable trend.  It’s perhaps an easy prediction, but we’ll see many more announcements of this nature over the coming months.  Why more people don’t get the implications of this is beyond me!
