I see more of iOS and OS X merging in the future. Apple loves to have things simple and I see this coming for iOS and OS X platforms. iOS is based on OS X so it logically makes sense to merge them slowly. Touch based desktop and laptops. I can not imagine the death of the mouse to the trackpad, some people still need the precision of a mouse for work, but for the rest, maybe they can move to the gesture based trackpads of the future.

Yup it’ll be interesting to see how this unfolds. My take has always been that this will all happen much faster than most anticipate. Uptake on the iPad has been amazing and doesn’t seem to be letting up…
